IBPS Clerk Recruitment
A total of 1509 vacancies have been released this year. The total number of vacancies as per the notification released for clerical cadre exam in 2019 was around 12075. And the total number of vacancies for IBPS Clerk Exam in 2018-19 was around 7200.
IBPS Clerk Salary
The IBPS Clerk salary structure is as follows:
- The basic IBPS clerk salary is Rs 11,765- Rs 42,020 per month.
- Rs 11,765 is the basic pay in the IBPS clerk salary, and the remaining pay includes dearness allowance, house rent allowance, medical allowance and transport allowance.
- The cash in hand concerning the IBPS Clerk salary is Rs 19,461 for those who join initially.
- Increments are based on performance and length of service.

This age limit is for people belonging to unreserved/general category.
Candidates belonging to other categories have certain age limit relaxation.
- Citizenship:
The candidates applying for the exam should fulfil the following criteria:
- Citizenship of India
- Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who arrived before January 1, 1962
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma(Myanmar), Vietnam or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India
All candidates who are not Indian citizens have to produce a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India before their appointment.
- IBPS Clerk Eligibility- Educational Qualification
Candidates must have at least an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

Both the IBPS Clerk exams are conducted in English and Hindi except for the parts which test the English language ability of the candidate.
There is negative marking for incorrect answers. Each wrong answer attracts a penalty of ¼ of the marks allotted to that question.
